Super Sport Academy organized 3 events during November & December, 2009. The Zoggs Tadpole Gala was followed by the Zoggs Mina Mile and the year finished with the Zoggs Junior Swim series hosted by JESS.
The Tadpole Gala gives children between the ages 3-6 the opportunity to show their families and friends their skills in the water. Many of them use flotation equipment to give them a little more confidence, but the more advanced swimmers are able to do proper swimming styles and races. This was a fun filled morning for all! The next event is on March 12th, 2010.
The next event in line was the Zoggs Mina Mile, attended by approximately 360 swimmers ranging in ages from 6-70 and partaking over distances between 200m and 6.5km. This was a fantastic family day which took place at the Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Hotel. The weather and sea conditions were perfect, hence really great times being recorded! What made this event so enjoyable was that there were swimmers of all levels, all equally receiving the same cheers from the sideline supporters! The next Mina Mile will be held on February 6th, 2010. Hopefully we will see even more of you out there!
The Junior Swim series was the second leg of this 6 series event and the last event for 2009 on the Super Sports Academy swimming calendar. Attended by approximately 200 kids, the day ran smoothly and was once again full of close, exciting races. Even the afternoon rain didn’t hamper the enthusiasm of the swimmers. All clubs are eagerly looking forward to the next event on January 15th to continue their battles!

The Rip Curl Indulge set sail on December 19th to end the parties for 2008. Despite the huge wave and chilly breeze, everyone had a great day on (not in!) the water. Many continued on the Rip Curl VIP table at Barasti to free Bacardi Mojitos!.

| OAKLEY SPRINT TRIATHLON 2008 |

On Friday, November 10th Oakley hosted the 2008 Dubai Tri Club Sprint Triathlon at Al Jazira Beach Resort. 219 tri-athletes competed in the challenging 800m swim, 20 km bike and 5km run event. Oakley extends a huge congratulations to all who competed on the day! |

| RIP CURL SAILING REGATTAS |

On November 14th at the Mina Sailing Club and November 21st at Dubai Offshore Sailing Club, competitors set sail at the Rip Curl sponsored Sailing Regattas. Sporting the latest Rip Curl rash vests, sailors braved the open waters in a race to the finish. Rip Curl sends out a huge CONGRATULATIONS to all competitors!

THE RIP CURL INDULGE IS BACK. After a long hot summer, our Rip Curl Indulge boat trip sailed to a stellar start on Friday, October 31st. The weather couldn't have been better for an afternoon on (and in) the water. After the banana boat rides and BBQ, Indulge guests were treated to a twilight cruise back to DIMC where everyone enjoyed a free Bacardi Mojito, courtesy of MMI.

THE EVENTS
Oakley's first Freestyle Night Competition slid to an extreme start on Monday, October
13th. Sixteen youth competitors and nineteen adult competitors battled for their place on
the podium in the BIG AIR Competition! DON'T MISS NEXT WEEK'S SLOPE BATTLE!
